Having family photographs taken should be fun and stress free! I’ll come to you in NYC or Litchfield County CT and you can just snuggle up with your loved ones.

Family photography should be fun and something you look forward to each year, not feel stressed about! My families are surprised that they actually have fun and have said “Lindsey is magical with kids and makes the process fun for them, and therefore for us, too!”

Gone are the days of stiff and boring portraiture. A session with me is an opportunity to truly connect with your loved ones. And of course you create lasting memories of what life looks like right now because it goes so quickly. That being said I believe that every stage is worthy of documenting. Hold on to each other, close your eyes, take a nice deep breath and I’ll be right there with you so won’t have to wonder “so what do we do?”

Family photos should be fun for everyone. I will never bribe a kiddo, I encourage play, or when in doubt, “upside down kid!”

I prepare you for the whole experience. I encourage you to think about why you’ve chosen to document your family. After the session what comes next? You get to choose which moments to freeze and look at every day on your walls, or flip through in an album with your little ones on your lap. You get to “Create Your Own Collection” of the photographs you love most.

Hanging family photographs makes a house a home.

You’d never guess from the gallery below that this family session was met with obstacles — potential torrential rain (in fact it was pouring on my drive to Washington, CT to meet them) and a slightly cranky kiddo — but I do my very best to stay positive.

The day of the session, we were facing an iffy weather forecast and a bit of an ‘off’ day for the kidlette. No matter! Lindsey worked both to her advantage, capturing some of the most lovely images of each - and all - of us.

The rain stopped just in time and some good old fashioned play got this darling little girl on board with my silliness. Quintessential New England properties in Washington, Connecticut complete with a weathered red barn acted as the perfect backdrop for this session.

And how extraordinary is their rescue doggie?! An important member of their family, I loved watching their Great Dane interact with them all, especially their toddler. He is huge but a gentle giant and so sweet with their little girl.
